Yogi Tea

I have a friend who was raving about this homemade concoction so I looked into it more and was amazed at the possible health benefits of consuming this tea regularly.

In addition to the intoxicating aroma that will fill your kitchen, this delicious tea has many health benefits from the antioxidant filled ingredients. These include: improved digestion, improved circulation, clearer skin, anti-inflammatory properties, loaded with antioxidants, balances acid in your stomach, eliminates bloating, lowers blood sugar, improved joint healthy and of course soothing to your soul~

Ingredients:

  • 1 large pot of water (2 quarts)
  • Peppercorns (about 20)
  • Cloves (15 whole)
  • Cinnamon sticks (4)
  • Cardamom pods (about 20 – split open)
  • Fresh Ginger Root (8 slices)
  • 2 bags black tea
  • Optional: almond milk, honey

Directions:

Boil water and add all ingredients (except tea bags) for several minutes.  Add tea bags, cover, and brew for at least 30 minutes. Strain into pitcher and then (optional) add a few tablespoons of almond milk and raw pure honey, stir well.  Serve hot or cold.
