Ingredients:
- 2 apples – peeled, cored and diced (I use one green Granny Smith and one red apple Honey Crisp)
Directions:
- In a medium saucepan combine the water and sugar. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat. Add the cranberries, apples, cider vinegar, and spices. Bring to a boil, then simmer gently for 10 minutes stirring often. Slightly mash. Note: the recipe does not call for it, but I like to add the juice of 1/2 orange.
- Pour mixture into a bowl. Place plastic wrap directly on the surface of the sauce. Cool to room temperature and refrigerate. Bring to room temperature before serving.
