Apple Crisp is my absolute favorite Fall dessert!!
Ingredients:
- 3 – 4 large honey crisp apples, cored and sliced (adjust for smaller apples)
- 1/4 c. white sugar
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
Topping:
- 3/4 c. old fashion oats
- 3/4 c. flour
- 5 T butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- pinch salt
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 8×8 pan.
- Peel, core and cut your apples and place in bowl. Add the sugar & spices. Mix well and put into your greased baking dish.
- In separate bowl, mix together all topping ingredients with a pastry cutter to blend butter (cold/diced) into the dry ingredients.
- Pour topping over apples in baking dish, and gently pat to even it out. Bake 40-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
